A small piece of great Japanese garden photographed by me. :) :)
P.L. Deshpande Okayama garden is on Sinhgad road, Pune. The garden occupies a wide area of 10 acres and represents the style, the structure and the culture of an authentic Japanese Garden. The idea of recreating the original Japanese garden in Pune is, of course, inspired from the 300-year old Okayama Korakuen Garden developed by Ikeda royal family in the 12 specious hectares in Okayama. This style is devised in such a way that if you take a walk through a Japanese garden enjoying the landscape, which changes along the garden paths, you will experience a picture scroll", Bhopatkar and Nampurkar described Korekuen. The garden has been designed in a manner that you can enjoy the changing landscape as you walk around it!
P.L. Deshpande is one of the most prolific writers in the history of Marathi literature. The Pune Municipal Corporation had taken a decision to name a garden in Pune after this great writer
